Some tanks

As a change of pace from Battlelore, I thought I'd post some tanks. The Shermans below were struggling with a weird paint crackling effect. Terry helpfully supplied some decals that distract the eye a bit from the crackle effect.

I also picked up some tanks from Terry's crawlspace clear out. These are 1/87-scale Roco tanks (I think) with a T-28 and T-35 below.

I've had a harder time identifying these tiny light tanks. Based on the pictures I saw on line, they aren't T-70s (which was my first guess).

There was also this 1/76-scale T-34 that I think Terry did a lovely job with the paint on.

Up next: Back to Battlelore with some mounted dwarves.

Very nice tanks, Bob. The T-34 is very nicely weather and kitted out - amazing for the scale.

Yeah, I wish I could take credit for that. Looks maybe like a sponge paint over a basic green? It is amazing.

Looks like the small tanks are Soviet T-26s.

Definitely T-26 hulls - the Vicker suspension is pretty distinct, and the better sloped turret on the one to the right indicates a later model. Still a deathtrap though.

Love the t-35!

More likely a beat up brush dabbing, the only sponge I use is miniatures soaking up the money from my wallet! Cheers

Yes, both are T-26's the second has a later turret as mentioned by Dave below.

I agree Dave, the T-35, though woefully under armoured would still be a bugger for early war infantry to deal with! Yes I have 1 in 28mm!
