IV/82 French Ordonnance, 1445-1503AD
IV/84 Burgundian Ordonnance, 1471-1477AD (0-3)
I need one more base of these 3Kn fellows to fill out the lists plus a 3Cv base.
I've added several bases of foot knights (4Bd) to improve my chances against bow-heavy armies.
Speaking of bow, the French have three 4Bw bases. The two left-hand bases represent household troops are made from Zvezda's old Royal Guard 28mm fantasy set. You can customize these troops six ways to Sunday but they are fiddly and brittle models. The right=-hand bases are GW Bretonnian archers--perhaps the single most useful 28mm plastic figures ever designed! I am still short a couple of 3Bw elements but there are lots of Bretonnian archers still in the basement.
The Bretonnians reappear in these 8Bw bases which represent massed peasant rabble (I assume). With some careful paint jobs, the two GW poses can be made to look surprisingly varied.
And the GW figures appear here again as two bases of 2Ps flanking a base of 4Cb. The 4Cb base are again constructed from the Zvezda Royal Guard set.
These 4Pk bases are metal Black Tree Design spearmen converted by my friend Dave to pike. These could be replaced by the newer Perry mercenary sets if you were keen on an all-plastic army.
I also have two bases of 4Sp constructed from the Zvezda Royal Guard set. I could also use two bases of 7Hd for the earlier French list.
To make this army suitable for HoTT games, I have added in a few fantasy elements. Left to right, there is a cleric (Warlord Games metal ECW range), a Hero General (Zvezda) and a Magician (GW Lord of the Rings Plastic).
I also used some GW plastics to build two more heroes and some GW Lord of the Rings plastic hobbits were recruited as a lurker element.
Finally, there is an Artillery piece (Zvezda--one of their most useful sets).
The camp is an old 1/72 Airfix Robin Hood castle cut up and manned by a few extra metal BTD pike men.
